Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Weekend Day shift in the Operating Room at Center City Campus. You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes education for patients and families, adherence to safety and quality standards, and participation in committees. An active PA RN license and BSN or diploma preparation are preferred, with a focus on diverse patient

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Active RN license in state of practice.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and staff following Jefferson values and evidence-based practice.
• Educates patients and families, identifying learning needs and priorities.
• Uses information technology to document and monitor patient outcomes.
• Works within nursing and inter-professional teams to provide safe care.
• Participates in safety and quality improvement committees and acts as a preceptor when appropriate.
