Job summary

SBM is seeking a custodian to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas. The role requires performing daily janitorial duties, operating cleaning equipment and following safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.

Responsibilities include adhering to schedules, reporting hazards, and maintaining professional conduct while supporting the team. Weekend shifts are possible, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; willingness to share with team.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and reporting systems.
