Penn State University’s Office of Physical Plant is seeking a Custodial Services Supervisor for the weekends to direct staff and technical personnel in delivering custodial services across university buildings. This role manages resources and coordinates with internal and external departments to support the university mission.

The weekend supervisor will work Friday to Monday 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., on a 4-day/40-hour schedule with four 10-hour shifts.

Qualificações

• Experience supervising custodial staff and technicians (preferred).
• Ability to plan work schedules and manage multi-shift operations.

Responsabilidades

• Hire, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff and technical employees.
• Plan work schedules for all shifts.
• Maintain inventory and ensure adequate distribution of materials to job sites.
• Inspect work areas and ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
• Report physical changes in work areas and coordinate required maintenance or equipment repairs.
• Maintain shift records, reports, work orders, schedules, and related documentation.
• Ensure work is completed within established timeframes and performance standards.
• Supervise temporary and wage/payroll employees during seasonal operations, Temporary Transfers, and Stadium Operations.
• Ensure compliance with University recycling policies, waste removal procedures, and custodial standards.
• Provide coverage for Custodial Supervisors when absent, including timecard approval, work order issuance, overtime coverage, quality assurance inspections, and customer service.
• Assist with custodial snow removal efforts.
