Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to produce cross-section images for diagnostic purposes and to support patient care across all ages.

Responsibilities include patient prep, operating CT equipment, administering contrast, ensuring safety, and documenting results. The role requires ARRT CT certification within a year, State licensure, and BLS; a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT RT(R) (ARRT) in good standing is required.
• CT Certification RT(R) (CT) ARR T within one year of hire is required.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross is required.
• Current state licensure is required prior to employment.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathology is required.
• Preferred: one year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide computed tomography imaging and patient care at defined levels for patients of all ages.
• Check and prepare patients prior to CT study.
• Acquire chart data/requisition and review for room setup and contraindications.
• Verify study correlates to diagnostic needs.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Educate patients about procedures and exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope and regulations.
• Perform VNA punctures as necessary.
• Maintain CT area including technical and clerical aspects; document accordingly.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Monitor for equipment dysfunction and report problems; keep equipment up-to-date.
