Job summary

North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist I for a Fri-Sun shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) in Powell, TN. You will operate CT equipment, position patients, manage contrast studies, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver accurate diagnostic results.

The role requires adherence to safety protocols, attention to detail, and strong communication with the radiology team. Prior radiologic tech training and licensure are expected.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical experience through an accredited radiologic sciences program required.
• 2-4 years of CT Technologist experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to produce diagnostic images per protocols.
• Prepares and positions patients for CT procedures with care.
• Verifies orders and screens patients for contraindications.
• Performs creatinine testing and monitors contrast safety.
• Administers contrast media and observes for adverse reactions.
• Explains procedures and assists patients to reduce anxiety.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams for timely results.
• Reviews images, documents history, and ensures image quality.
• Maintains CT equipment and coordinates supply levels.
