Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford, Delaware, is looking for a Registered Radiology CT Technologist to cover weekend shifts with a $15K sign-on bonus and additional hourly stipend. The role is full-time, Fri-Mon, at Sussex Campus, with a salary range of 37.07–57.47 per hour.

You will perform CT and general radiology procedures under the CT Scan Supervisor, ensure patient safety, maintain image quality, and support QA activities while providing compassionate patient care and clear communication

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree; Radiologic Technology.
• Credential(s): Basic Life Support, Medical Radiologic Technologist, Registered Technologist, Radiography.
• CT-specific: CT Tech Competency Based Orientation within 4 months; if RT (CT) is held, CT CBO is not required.
• Experience: One (1) year of Radiology experience, or new grad with completion of a CT program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares procedure room and patient for all studies. Properly disinfect all equipment after each patient, following cleaning policies and protocols.
• Educates patient regarding ordered procedure and answers any related questions. Obtain patient history and written consent for exam.
• Verify patient information, check for appropriate ICD-10 codes. Utilize appropriate patient safety screening/consent forms to ensure all safety precautions are addressed prior to procedure.
• Performs procedures in accordance with established protocols. Positions patients and selects appropriate equipment necessary to accomplish procedure depending upon the age of the patient and the physical capabilities.
• Monitors patient during procedures; notifies Radiologist of reactions or problems. Assist the radiologists when necessary. Minimize patient discomfort.
• Demonstrate competency on all general diagnostic imaging equipment in CT. Ensure quality images for all completed procedures prior to releasing patient.
• Carries out duties and assumes responsibility for portions of the quality assurance program, as directed by the equipment vendors.
• Maintain competence with HIS, RIS, PHS and PACS.
• Run a pending work report daily to ensure all exams have been properly charged.
• Maintain adequate supplies. Stock the room at start of shift and throughout the day; report items below par.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
