Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) at REST Center in Willimantic, CT seeks a part-time Therapist (16 hours/week) to provide assessment and treatment interventions for individuals in crisis, conduct clinical and risk assessments, and develop person-centered treatment plans across settings.

The role requires a Master’s degree, relevant licensure (LMSW/LPC-A/LMFT-A; LCSW/LMFT/LPC or Licensed Psychologist preferred), and experience with trauma or serious emotional disorders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in related field.
• Experience working with trauma, mental illness and/or substance use disorders preferred.
• LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A required; LCSW, LMFT, LPC or Licensed Psychologist preferred; valid driver’s license where transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment and treatment interventions consistent with the program model.
• Conducts clinical and risk assessments.
• Collaborates with individuals to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Demonstrates competency in age-related or specialty issues for each population served.
• Develops discharge plans utilizing natural support and coordinates with family and service providers.
• Maintains client and staff records per agency policy.
• Provides coverage for team members during periods of absence.
• Participates in weekly supervision, consultations, and meetings.
