Job summary

Family Haven in Utah operates a Crisis/Respite Nursery caring for newborns to 11-year-olds, with a mission to provide a safe, supportive space. The positions welcome caring adults who enjoy interaction with kids and are comfortable in a fast-paced crisis environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of professional or life experience working with children who display challenging behaviors or special needs.
• Food handler permit and First Aid/CPR certification required (training provided).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• One weekend per month on call: Fri 5:30pm–Mon 8:00am on-call; Sat 4-8pm on-site; possible additional on-site hours during crises.
• During on-call: carry on-call phone, respond to calls, be within 30 minutes of admitting children when needed.
• During on-site: engage with children through play, meet their needs, check families in/out, basic cleaning and paperwork, prepare and serve meals/snacks, supervise volunteers.
