Brightpoint invites you to join our team as a Child Care Worker for the Crisis Nursery in Rockford, IL. You will oversee safety, basic needs and development of children birth through age six, while collaborating with families to connect them with needed services.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and 1 year of childcare experience; CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license are required. Full-time, evenings, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• One year of experience with children (birth to seven) required.
• Associate’s degree or related coursework preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.

Responsabilidades

• Ensures daily routines and supervises safety, care and wellbeing of children in the Crisis Nursery.
• Prepares meals and organizes mealtimes and snacks for children.
• Develops schedules to ensure adequate physical activity, rest and playtime.
• Provides nurturing, age-appropriate and stimulating activities for infants, toddlers and young children.
• Promotes development of fine and gross motor skills through structured activities.
• Implements behavior management interventions and redirects children's behavior.

Conhecimentos

Child care experience

CPR/First Aid certification

Valid driver’s license

Formação académica

Associates degree in child development preferred
