Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Staunton, Virginia is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs at our Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH). The weekend role runs Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm, delivering nursing care and medication administration.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, patient education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current valid, unrestricted RN license in Virginia
• Knowledge of MH and I/DD care systems preferred
• Crisis prevention/intervention experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance for occasional Transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adults with I/DD and behavioral health needs in the Crisis Therapeutic Home
• Administer medications and perform nursing assessments
• Educate patients on physical and mental health
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety and compliance
• Support stability, recovery, and hope for those served
• Guide Behavior Techs and LPNs as needed
