Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures is hiring a Control Process Operator for our Fort Worth, TX plant. The role involves setting up and operating machinery, reading blueprints, adjusting for materials, and ensuring dimensional accuracy.

The position works on the Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4:00am to 4:30pm. You will operate Break Presses, Plasma Tables, and related equipment, with safety as a priority and teamwork to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a 20’ or larger break press, Plasma Table, or Drill Press, preferably breaking and/or cutting steel up to 2” thick.
• Working knowledge/experience with angle grinders/metal manufacturing/fabrication.
• Experience operating overhead cranes.
• Experience operating large forklifts.
• Ability to read blueprints and verify dimensional requirements.
• Reliability and good attendance.
• Ability to stand, climb on/off equipment, and lift materials exceeding 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong dependability, attitude, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines including multiple break presses, Plasma Table, and Kinetic Drill Press.
• Form and cut materials to predesignated shapes and sizes.
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials safely.
• Troubleshoot equipment and make basic adjustments.
• Make decisions on quality, tolerances, and operation sequence.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
