Meyer Utility Structures in Steele, AL is hiring a Lead Control Process Operator for the Weekend Shift. You will lead and coordinate a small team of Operators, set up and operate CNC/PLC equipment, and verify production against blueprints.

The role emphasizes safety, quality and collaboration to meet production goals on a sheet metal fabrication plant. The position requires several years of manufacturing experience and strong leadership on the factory floor.

Formación

• Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small team.
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement verification skills.
• Experience operating CNC/PLC equipment including Whitney plasma/punch, Kinetic, oxy-fuel and plasma cutting, and CNC centers.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and leadership on the floor.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to collaborate toward production goals.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support a team of Operators.
• Set up and operate CNC machinery (cutting, forming, drilling, milling, etc.).
• Monitor production quality and verify dimensional requirements using blueprints.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic machine adjustments.
• Make decisions related to tolerances, quality, and workflow sequencing.
• Ensure adherence to all safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in or support safety initiatives and committees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
