Job summary

The Machinist position at Regal Rexnord in Radford, VA is an onsite weekend shift role, Friday through Sunday on 12‑hour shifts. You will operate CNC lathes and milling machines, set up fixtures and tooling, and interpret drawings to determine machining methods for precision parts.

Responsibilities include first‑piece and in‑process inspections, selecting appropriate tooling, and collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to maintain tight tolerances and high quality output.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Machine Technology or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills for tolerances and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines for precision parts.
• Set up machines, fixtures, and tooling for accurate production.
• Interpret blueprints and specs to determine methods and tooling.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure tolerances.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure quality.
