Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Alamo, Tennessee, is seeking a Weekend Machine Shop Supervisor to lead a CNC machining team. This full-time on-site role involves coaching staff, meeting production goals, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining safety and quality.

You will oversee shift-specific operations, improve workflow, and drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. Weekend night or day 12-hour shifts are available, Friday through Sunday.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in CNC machining operations.
• At least two years of experience leading a CNC machine shop team.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set priorities and work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assign daily work and support team member training.
• Monitor machine utilization, efficiency, scrap rates and OEE.
• Review and enter hourly team member time records.
• Resolve production, technical, and material flow issues.
• Use production data to answer questions and support decisions.
• Coach team members and support clear communication across the team.
• Address workplace concerns and help resolve conflict effectively.
• Model safety, integrity, and care for your colleagues.
• Deliver high level of quality in the parts being machined.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling programming and equipment issues.
