You will help produce transformer components, ensure safe operations, meet production schedules, and improve daily performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a CNC machine shop environment.
• Experience with multi-axis turn-mill machining and horizontal machining centers.
• Experience using Mazak, Mazatrol, DMG Mori, CELOS, Mitsubishi or similar CNC controls.
• Able to read blueprints and apply GD&T standards.
• Knowledge of G-code programming and machining fundamentals.
• Commitment to safety, quality, standard work, and continuous improvement.
• Internal applicants: must have worked in current department 6+ months and with Hitachi Energy 1+ year.

Responsibilities

• Guide team members in setup and operation of multi-axis turn-mill centers and CNC lathes.
• Support robot-integrated turn-mill systems to improve productivity and safety.
• Operate horizontal machining centers with pallet pool systems for efficient flow.
• Complete tooling setup, offsets, fixture alignment, and machine adjustments.
• Monitor machining performance and adjust processes for quality and cycle time.
• Set expectations for safety, 5S, schedule compliance, output, and resource use.
• Coach team members on standard work, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
