Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for weekend shifts in Piedmont, CA. The role involves manufacturing complex engine components using CNC and non-CNC machines in a clean, air-conditioned facility.

You will participate in a self-directed team to identify process improvements and ensure high quality and throughput. The ideal candidate has 1 year of manufacturing experience or an associate degree in manufacturing/engineering, with strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of full-time manufacturing experience with manual or CNC machining or an associate degree in manufacturing/engineering plus relevant apprenticeship/certification.
• Ability and willingness to work Weekend Shift; pre-employment physical/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups, tool changes, offsets, and run production on CNC and non-CNC machines.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce setup times and improve quality and throughput.
• Read and interpret process operation sheets, tooling sheets, and drawings to produce parts.
• Gauge parts to specified tolerances and maintain production records.
