Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a dependable CNC Laser Operator to join our Fort Worth metal manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, set laser cut parameters, load and offload metal, and perform precision inspections with calipers and micrometers.

In this full-time role, candidates should be comfortable with tight tolerances, alternate shifts, and working in a high-capacity production environment. High school education required; 2+ years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2+ years of CNC laser operation experience in metals.
• Able to read mechanical blueprints and work orders.
• Proficient with basic shop math and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC laser cutting machines.
• Read engineering drawings and blueprints to plan cuts.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, to ensure tolerances.
• Load sheet metal onto cutting beds and offload finished parts.
• Perform basic operator maintenance and lens checks.
• Maintain 5S and plant safety compliance.

Are you a skilled CNC Laser Operator looking to join a dynamic, high-capacity metal manufacturing team? We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-driven professional to set up and run cutting-edge industrial CNC lasers in our Fort Worth plant.

In this full-time role, you will read blueprints, configure laser cut parameters, load and offload metal materials, and perform precision quality inspections using calipers and micrometers. If you take pride in tight tolerances, clean cuts, and reliable teamwork,

salary: $37,440 - $39,520 per year

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC fiber/CO₂ lasers; establish stop locations, configure machine parameters, and adjust focal points for optimal cut quality.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, work routers, and blueprints to determine job sequences, tolerances, and cutting paths.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect cut parts using precision handheld measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Material Handling & Staging: Load sheet metal onto cutting beds and safely offload finished parts and scrap.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled basic operator-level maintenance, lens checks, and cleaning to keep equipment running efficiently.
• Safety & Workplace Standards: Maintain a clean, organized workstation adhering to 5S principles and plant safety policies.
• Qualifications
• Experience: 6 months to 2+ years of hands-on experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment in a metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing work orders.
• Measurement & Math: Skilled in using basic measuring devices and standard shop math.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs, and work safely in an active shop environment.
