Job summary

Aura Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential home care to patients in their residences. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, personal hygiene, and light housekeeping while following established care plans.

Travel within the service area is required, with no guaranteed hours. The role emphasizes reliability, adaptability to varied client environments, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Active certification required (DFS).
• Strong communication and ability to read and follow instructions.
• Physical ability to lift about 50 lbs, bend and stand for long periods.
• Demonstrated compassion in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming and mouth care.
• Support transfers, repositioning and walking.
• Follow care plans and perform prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals aligned with client preferences and dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and organize activities.
• Maintain accurate records and report changes; document tasks in EVV.
• Protect privacy and patient rights.
• Respond to client needs with reliability and professionalism.
• Identify signs of abuse or unsafe living environments and report them.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
• Support patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Follow care plans and execute prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals aligned with client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and organize activities based on individual interests.
• Maintain accurate records, report changes in patient condition, and utilize EVV systems for task documentation.
• Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and adherence to the patient's Bill of Rights.
• Respond to client needs with dependability and professionalism.
• Recognize and report signs of abuse, neglect, or unsafe living environments.

Qualifications And Skills

• Active certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including reading and following instructions.
• Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods.
