Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Weekend Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse and collaborate with the care team. The role emphasizes patient safety, engagement, and accurate documentation in the EMR within the Integrated Care Unit.

Responsibilities include patient orientation, rounding for safety, updating care boards, and supporting transfers and discharges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher preferred.
• SRNA certification as State Registered Nurse Assistant in Kentucky required on hire and BLS within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Greets and orients new patients to the hospital environment, room and unit routines.
• Involves patients and families in handoffs to ensure safety and needs are met.
• Maintains patient progress notes and updates EMR with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assists nursing staff with personal care according to standards and policies.
• May monitor telemetry, adjust alarms and communicate cardiac rhythm changes to staff.
• Participates in telephone and EMR-based discharge processes and patient transport arrangements.
