Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System in Commack, NY, is seeking dedicated CNAs to join our Long Island senior care team. Weekend scheduling (Saturday and Sunday) with shifts 7:00am-3:15pm, 3:00pm-11:15pm, and 11:00pm-7:15am, with a competitive salary.

You will assist residents with ADLs under supervision, maintain clean living areas, answer call bells, and document vital information. NYS Nurse Aide Registry certification is required; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Current certification in New York State Nurse Aide Registry (not expired or lapsed).
No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, exploitation, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property listed on the Registry against them.
One year long-term care experience and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists with personal care services and Activities of Daily Living under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, including bed baths, showers, toileting, meals, and hygiene.
Maintains non-patient areas, assists with admissions/discharges, answers call lights, runs errands, and keeps living areas clean and orderly.
Observes and reports changes in patient condition, records fluid intake/output, vitals, specimens, and assists with mobility.
