Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System on Long Island, NY is seeking CNAs to join a comprehensive care continuum at Commack. Positions include full-time evening (3:00pm-11:15pm) and night shifts (11:00pm-7:15am), plus part-time options across mornings and evenings.

All candidates must hold NYS Nurse Aide Registry certification; one year LTC experience preferred. We offer an excellent salary, extensive benefits, and a sign-on bonus of $2,500 for full-time and $1,250 for part-time, with every other weekend

Qualifications

• Current certification in New York State Nurse Aide Registry (not expired or lapsed).
• No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, exploitation, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property listed on the Registry against them.
• One year long-term care experience and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with personal care services and Activities of Daily Living for residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Performs bed baths, showers, tub baths, perineal care, oral hygiene, hair and nail care and other personal hygiene tasks.
• Assists with meals, mobility, and daily living activities under supervision of licensed staff.
• Maintains cleanliness of resident areas and reports changes in condition to the nurse in charge.
