Job summary

Silver Hill Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Social Worker to provide direct clinical care in a therapeutic outpatient setting, with weekend coverage. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure patient-centered, evidence-based care and high-quality outcomes.

The position emphasizes leading groups, psychosocial assessments, and group therapy while maintaining professional standards within a mental health framework.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work.
• Licensed LMSW or LPC-A in CT.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Certification.
• Experience in a mental health setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Lead groups and psychosocial assessments considering biological, psychological and systemic perspectives.
• Collaborate with team members and departments; communicate with supervisor and other Social Workers as needed.
• Hold self-accountable to helping patient and family achieve desired results; identify strengths and challenges.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Conduct group therapy sessions using techniques suitable for the ages served.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
