Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a Lab Assistant to support technical staff in Phoenix. This role involves collecting, receiving and processing specimens, preparing samples for testing and assisting with entry of data in the LIS system.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Phlebotomy/CLA certification. A valid driver’s license may be required, and prior clinical lab experience is a plus. Weekend shifts are included with this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification is required.
• Valid state driver's license may be required depending on department.
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical lab staff with specimen collection, receipt and processing.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and manage data entry.
• May perform waived and/or limited moderate complexity testing as approved by CLIA requirements.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
