Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Clinical Charge Nurse in a critical care setting. The role focuses on assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, delegating tasks, and coordinating with the care team to meet patient outcomes.

The position requires Alabama RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within stipulated timelines, and prior supervisory experience in a critical care environment. Strong communication in a fast-paced setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Alabama RN license.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in a critical care setting with supervisory/leadership demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment and planning.
• Delegate and coordinate care with other professionals; execute physician orders.
• Evaluate patient response and progress toward outcomes.
• Assist patients and staff in identifying problems and exploring alternatives and outcomes.
