Job summary

Huntsville Hospital seeks a Clinical Charge Nurse to identify patient needs, plan and delegate care, and ensure orders are carried out while evaluating outcomes. You will coordinate care across disciplines and support nursing staff in clinical decisions.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Alabama RN license, and hold BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire. Prior supervisory experience in a critical care setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Alabama license; BLS within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days.
• Experience: Supervisory/management ability in a critical care setting.
• Additional: Excellent communication skills in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, and delegation.
• Execute therapeutic physician orders and nursing interventions.
• Evaluate patient responses and progress toward outcomes.
• Coordinate care between disciplines and assist staff in problem-solving.
