Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a Clinical Charge Nurse responsible for prioritizing patient care, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and delegating tasks to ensure optimal outcomes. You will execute physician orders and evaluate responses to care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires Alabama nursing licensure, BLS and ACLS within specified timelines, and prior ICU supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing license in Alabama as a prerequisite.
• BLS within 90 days of hire is required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Previous critical care experience with supervisory/management ability is needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning and delegation.
• Execute therapeutic physician orders and therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Evaluate patient responses and progress toward outcomes.
• Coordinate care between disciplines as needed.
• Assist patients and staff in identifying problems and exploring options.
