Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Communications Operator to join our Information Services Communications team at the Tulsa campus.

The role focuses on answering and routing inbound calls, maintaining accurate on-call schedules, and supporting hospital communications on a weekend-focused schedule. You will answer calls courteously from patients, physicians, and staff, transcribe and relay information for Medicall, and ensure confidentiality while coordinating with departments

Qualifications

• Answer incoming calls on the main switchboard courteously and route to appropriate department.
• Maintain confidentiality of physicians, patients, and staff information.
• Maintain accurate on-call schedules for departments and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route inbound calls to hospital/Medicall from community, patients, physicians and staff.
• Transcribe and relay information accurately related to the Medicall answering service while maintaining an average answer time.
• Swap/replace pagers and maintain records of those sent for repair.
• Escalate issues to management and coordinate daily operations.
