Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking an CDL Driver Trainer (Weekends Only) in Greenville, SC. The part-time, weekend role trains new drivers through classroom, range, and over-the-road instruction, under supervision of the Program Director or Lead Trainer.

The ideal candidate has a valid CDL, strong communication and leadership skills, and at least 3 years of road experience. Duties include maintaining records, administering tests, and ensuring safety compliance while delivering effective training.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL; class level must meet the required position
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience within the last 5 years
• MVR and background check including drug screening
• Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain Medical Examiner Certificate and pass DOT drug tests

Responsibilities

• Train students in trucking/driving and conduct pre-trip inspections
• Administer written tests and evaluate grades
• Deliver instruction in field and classroom and adapt to schedules
• Maintain records of student progress, performance and attendance
• Maintain confidentiality when working with students and staff
• Foster a professional, courteous and safety-focused learning environment
