Job summary

Onyx Home Health Solutions in St. Augustine, FL seeks a caring CNA or HHA to provide weekend care for a client living with dementia. The schedule runs every other Friday 4:30 p.m. through Monday 7:30 a.m., including overnight stays.

You will stay in the home, provide companionship, meals, transportation for outings, and document care and mileage. Compensation is $20 per compensable hour with overtime as applicable, and benefits include training and development.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or documentation of HHA training.
• Experience caring for individuals diagnosed with dementia.
• A patient, compassionate, attentive, and dependable approach.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
• Willingness to transport the client for approved outings.
• Ability to commit to the entire assignment every other weekend.
• Strong communication skills and professional boundaries.
• Ability to meet agency screening requirements, including a Level II background screening.

• Accurately document care, working time, nighttime interruptions, and client-related mileage.

Overnight Schedule and Compensation

Appropriate sleeping accommodations will be provided. The scheduled sleep period is 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. and will be unpaid when the mutually agreed sleep-time exclusion requirements are met.

All nighttime care interruptions will be paid. If interruptions prevent at least five total hours of reasonable sleep during that period, the entire eight-hour period will be paid. Overtime will be paid when applicable.

Client-related mileage reimbursement and transportation procedures will be reviewed before the assignment begins.
