Job summary

Synergy HomeCare in Bloomfield, NJ, is seeking a compassionate caregiver for evening, overnight, and morning support for a female client with dementia. The schedule runs 5:00 PM – 8:30 AM, with duties including supervision, ADLs, meal support, hydration, and safety monitoring.

Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease preferred.
• Patient, compassionate, calm, and dependable.
• Comfortable working overnight hours.
• Able to recognize and respond appropriately to confusion, wandering, agitation, or changes in behavior.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to follow the client's care plan and instructions.
• Must be reliable and committed to maintaining the scheduled hours.
• Caregiver certification or relevant experience preferred.

• Monitor the client for changes in behavior, mood, or condition and report concerns promptly.
• Provide reassurance and redirection if the client becomes confused, anxious, or agitated.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Assist with the client's evening and morning routines.
• Help prevent falls and other safety risks, especially during nighttime hours.
• Document and communicate important observations and updates to the family or care team.
• Provide respectful, patient, and dementia-sensitive care at all times.

Location: Bloomfield, NJ 07003.

5:00 PM – 8:30 AM

The caregiver will be responsible for providing evening, overnight, and morning support according to the client's care needs and care plan.
