Fortress Nutrition is seeking a Weekend Shift Operations Lead to guide our Beverage Canning line. You’ll lead a hands-on team, actively operating equipment and ensuring safe, efficient production that meets quality standards.

This role emphasizes independent decision-making, accountability for performance, and a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. Weekend schedule delivers a full-time compensation feel over three days.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of machine operating experience on high-speed packaging.
• 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role in production.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed line equipment and troubleshooting.
• English reading/writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support line operators during setup and operation of canning line equipment.
• Act as a working lead, operating equipment while overseeing team performance.
• Coordinate daily tasks based on production needs in absence of management.
• Monitor production, safety, quality, and efficiency metrics.
• Ensure GMPs and sanitation standards are followed; perform quality checks.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate to Maintenance when needed.
• Document shift reports and provide clear handoffs to teams.
• Coach and develop operators; collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance.
