Job summary

Kent School is seeking a Safety Officer for the 2nd shift on Saturdays and Sundays in Kent, CT. The role is part-time and on-site, with a focus on maintaining a safe campus environment and deterring unauthorized access.

You will patrol property, coordinate with local emergency services, and support faculty during events. Qualifications include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, CT Guard Card eligibility, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol school property and check doors, gates, windows, and entry points.
• Immediately respond to calls for assistance in a courteous and professional manner.
• Monitor property for safety hazards and report violations.
• Maintain a complete log for each tour of duty with times and incidents.
• Work security details at school events and enforce safety rules.
• Notify the Director of Campus Safety & Security of major incidents.
