Position Summary:
Along with other campus departments, the Safety Officer will assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors. The Safety Officer maintains a high degree of visibility on school property, serves as a deterrent to crime, and enhances the feeling of personal security for students, employees, and visitors. Also, the Safety Officer assists law enforcement, EMS, and Fire Department personnel with their response to the school.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Patrol school property, checking doors, gates, windows, and all points of entry to school property to ensure unauthorized persons have not gained access to the premises undetected.
Extensive walking, stair climbing, standing, and driving on and around campus.
High School degree or a combination of education and work experience in related fields, preferably in an independent school environment.
Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
