Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Campus Retail Associate in Cambridge, MA for part-time work in campus stores. You will deliver superior customer service, greet customers, and support store operations to maintain optimal store performance.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, assisting customers, stocking and housekeeping, and supporting daily cash register activities. Flexible scheduling is offered with benefits such as discount and paid time off where applicable.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• An outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

• Part-time positions require availability to work on a weekly basis year round. Schedules may be set or vary to meet the needs of the store.
• Routine housekeeping including, for example, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

Massachusetts Pay Transparency Information (Only applicable in Massachusetts stores):

Pay: Part-time Bookseller pay rate: $15.50/hr.
