Job summary

The Trolley Eats cafe in Downtown Norfolk is hiring Café Attendants for a fast-paced, customer‑facing role at our Norfolk location. You will take orders, handle the register, expedite orders, and assist with food prep as needed, delivering friendly service.

We value a can-do attitude, reliability, and Weekend availability. Base pay is $14-15/hr with tips; full-time and part-time benefits are available, including holidays, PTO, and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food service setting is a plus.
• Friendly and positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work on the weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Operate the cash register and POS system to process transactions.
• Prepare and package salads and sandwiches according to recipes.
• Pull orders together, ensure items are up to standard and include condiments.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
