The technician will build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies per engineering drawings and work instructions, collaborating with design and manufacturing engineers to anticipate problems and ensure reliable connections.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Experience with tools used during cable assembly (strippers, crimpers, soldering iron) and testing equipment.
Testing cables for continuity, shorts, dielectric standing voltage, and insulation resistance.

Responsibilities

Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
Working knowledge of tools used for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, solder iron).
Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to identify potential problems during assembly.
Perform basic troubleshooting to locate faults in signal and connectivity issues.
