Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing seeks a Cable Assembly Test Technician to build cables per engineering drawings and work instructions, performing basic testing and troubleshooting. The role interacts with design and manufacturing engineers to develop assembly strategies and resolve issues.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with 2–4 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with cable testing tools such as multimeters and cable-eye testers.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Experience with tools used in cable assembly.
Ability to test cables for continuity, shorts, and insulation resistance.
Able to interpret electrical schematics and engineer drawings.

Responsibilities

Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies.
Use tools for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, soldering iron).
Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to preempt issues in assembly.
Perform basic troubleshooting to identify signal and connectivity faults.
