Job summary

EMD Serono is seeking a weekend-focused Manufacturing Operator to produce biopharmaceutical filtration devices with emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. The role requires learning multiple processes, operating across centers, and supporting back-order recovery and site training initiatives.

The position entails learning quickly, coaching peers, and aligning with weekly priorities while minimizing downtime and material loss. Weekend shifts are Monday and Tuesday, 8 hours each.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ manufacturing experience in a fast-paced GMP manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10-hour general industry training or equivalent is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Flexing working hours between weekdays and weekends to facilitate training and production time.
• Manufacture quality products safely and in accordance with SOPs, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP.
• Safely operate a manufacturing process and monitor inputs and outputs.
• Support line opening/closing through material control and proper machine setup.
• Accurately complete documentation per GMP standards.
• Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
• Identify safety, quality, and productivity concerns and report hazards.
• Assist with shift changeovers, mentor operators, and support continuous improvement projects.
