Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or related experience.
• Four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
• Interpreter Skills Assessment - Arkansas Children's.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely and accurate interpretation and translation to AC patients and families.
• Interprets information accurately, without adding opinions, bias or advice.
• Demonstrates proficiency in translating patient materials and educational pamphlets.
• Educates staff on cultural issues that may be barriers to care.
• Ensures language requests are completed and patients receive assistance as requested.
• Maintains awareness of ADA rules regarding translator services.
• Documents daily patient encounters and services provided.
• Assists with three-way interpreting and written translation requests.
