Job summary

RTX, a world‑leading aerospace and defence company, seeks an Avionics Electronics Technician for a Fri–Sun 6:00 AM–6:30 PM shift at our SOUTHRIDGE, College Park, GA site. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, repair and modification of avionics equipment.

Requires an AA/AS degree and 6+ years of electronics experience; FAA safety criteria apply. Onsite role with drug/alcohol testing per FAA/49 CFR requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Electronics maintenance experience or education required.
• Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Reprograms equipment and determines possible failures.
• Aligns and adjusts advanced electrical components on units being tested to ensure proper functioning of electrical circuits.
• Conducts a variety of functional tests to check operation and calibration of test stations, components, equipment and systems.
• Analyzes circuitry and checks wiring and operation of various electronic parts, units and systems components necessary to locate malfunction source during testing.
• Performs disassembly and assembly of units and installs modifications per Service Bulletin or other authorized documentation.
