Job summary

US Conec Ltd. is seeking a hands‑on Automation Technician for the Fri‑Sun 6pm‑6am weekend shift. You will install, optimize, and support automation across injection molding and ferrule posting areas, troubleshooting to keep production running and driving continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and train teammates on new systems, leveraging CAD and PLC/HMI skills in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant engineering technology field or related area.
• 2–4 years hands-on experience in a medium‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and maintenance of automated equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs and HMIs; assist with loading, testing, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read 2D/3D CAD schematics and assembly drawings.
• Analytical, proactive problem solvers with good communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and basic PC skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally; good manual dexterity.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with fluids, adhesives, and particulates.

Responsibilities

• Install, optimize, and support automation in injection molding and ferrule posting areas.
• Monitor processes, inspect output, and adjust systems for quality and consistency.
• Provide first-line technical support and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate vendor/engineering repairs.
• Read/update work instructions, schematics, and process flows for tasks.
• Assist with PLC/HMI testing, loading, and diagnostics with controls engineers.
• Use 2D/3D CAD drawings to identify components during installation and troubleshooting.
• Help train operators and technicians on new or modified automation systems.
• Collaborate across units on automation projects from concept through implementation.
• Occasionally operate automation equipment to support training/validation.
