Job summary
Marvin Composites is seeking an Automation & Controls Technician for the Fargo, ND plant on a weekend shift. You will focus on automation controls troubleshooting and day-to-day support, collaborating with maintenance, engineers and operations to keep production running smoothly.
The role emphasizes hands-on work with PLC systems, control panels, and wiring, with opportunities to upgrade equipment and documentation. Two-year technical degree preferred; 3+ years of experience may substitute.
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree preferred (Mechatronics/Industrial Technology or related field).
- Three+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation may substitute for a degree.
- PLC programming experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance support for PLC-controlled automation and control systems.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
- Perform timely machine wiring, sensor replacement, control panel troubleshooting, and wiring updates.
- Document repair requests and track issues using maintenance systems; support preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to support safe and efficient production.
