Job summary

Positronic is seeking a Lathe Operator to operate single spindle horizontal screw machines, performing boring, threading, and facing tasks on metal parts.

On-the-job training pairs you with an experienced trainer; strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential in our fast-paced production environment. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 lbs, and overtime with shifts that start on first shift and may move to second after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or machining experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass testing to advance in the ABC certification program.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare screw machines with required tools, stock, and adjustments.
• Feed raw material into machines and control stock length.
• Start machines and observe production runs, ensuring proper function.
• Inspect first-run parts and adjust machines to maintain quality.
• Use precision measurement tools to verify part conformance.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with EHS and Quality departments to meet standards.
