Life's WORC in Valley Stream, NY is seeking a Part-Time Direct Care Staff to support residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Saturday-Sunday shift (16 hours) from 7am to 3pm provides hands-on residential habilitation and daily living support in a compassionate team setting.

You will help implement person-centered plans, assist with documentation, and drive agency vans when needed. A high school diploma is preferred, along with prior experience and a valid driver's

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience assisting persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Autism.
• Ability to support people with Autism and people who may display challenging behaviors.
• SCIP Certified preferred.
• Successfully complete the medication administration (AMAP) course and annual recertification.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to document services electronically.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide ongoing oversight to people living in the residence.
• Implement Person Centered Residential Habilitation Plans.
• Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the individual personalized program plan.
• Have scheduling flexibility; may be required to work beyond the normal shift.
• Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices.
