Job summary

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced AIT Technician – Vehicle Integration to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on hands-on manufacturing and assembly of sub-assemblies essential for spacecraft vehicle integration, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

A keen eye for quality and AS-9100 familiarity are valued. This weekend shift (Friday - Sunday) from 6:00AM to 7:00PM requires a strong work ethic, independent operation, and adherence to safety and documentation

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on electromechanical assembly in spacecraft hardware.
• Experience with wire harness routing and space flight integration.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with Windows 10, MS Office, and internet browser applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of soldering tools and practices (J-STD-001 cert preferred).
• Familiarity with cleanroom standards and ESD precautions.
• Excellent visual acuity for detailed inspections and quality control tasks.
• US Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to assemble complex electronic and mechanical modules.
• Operate hand tools and light power tools.
• Communicate statuses and suggestions to the support engineering team.
• Update documentation and hardware statuses through online services.
• Assist in spacecraft integration activities.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workspace.
• Stand for long periods and handle lab duties as assigned.
