Job summary

Terran Orbital seeks an experienced Sr. Systems Integration Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team building, integrating, and testing space vehicles from sub-systems to full systems.

You will contribute to production readiness, hands-on assembly, and testing on a Friday-Sunday weekend shift. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and US citizenship with DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance

Responsibilities

• Design vehicle assembly process and procedures
• Design and develop tools and hardware for vehicle assembly and testing
• Develop full testing campaigns to ensure vehicle integrity of electronic and mechanical systems
• Vehicle integration build flow and testing concepts of operations
• Evaluate proposed designs for manufacturability and integration into sub-systems
• Interface with engineers and technicians to advance manufacturing and automation
• Refine manufacturing assembly procedures based on lessons learned to mature status
• Enable day-to-day execution of vehicle integration and test flow
• Manage work orders and drive non-conformances into actionable items
• Resolve electrical and mechanical issue debugging at satellite system level
