Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in East Alton, IL, is seeking a Falcon Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the weekend shift.

The role involves performing general mechanical tasks, troubleshooting aircraft systems, and supporting inspections on civilian aircraft. The position requires an airframe or powerplant license with AMT I–IV progression; teamwork and safety compliance are essential for success in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance (AMT I).
• 2-4 years of experience in aviation maintenance (AMT II) preferred.
• 4-6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance (AMT III) with strong knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components as needed.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system/component issues and perform inspections.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in taxiing and runs.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling and document maintenance data.
