Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to service civilian aircraft on-site in East Alton, IL. You will perform mechanical tasks, troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and conduct inspections with attention to safety and FAA compliance.

Ideal candidates have AMT I–IV experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong English communication. West Star offers a competitive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license is required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance or similar industry.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and data bases.
• Must be able to communicate in English and work under supervision when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components, troubleshoot system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft during maintenance checks.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in performance runs.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and tooling; follow FAA guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with team and supervision.
