Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the weekend shift in Chattanooga, TN. The role involves performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft, removing/installing panels, troubleshooting systems, and supporting maintenance operations in a hangar environment.

AMT I–IV levels apply with progressive experience requirements; licenses (Airframe/Powerplant) are essential, with Airframe preferred for AMT I.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred for AMT I.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; AMT II requires 2–4 years of experience.
• Airframe license required; Powerplant highly preferred for AMT III; 4–6+ years.
• Airframe and Powerplant license required for AMT IV; 6+ years of aviation maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• De-fueling aircraft and engine removal/installations.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Assist with taxiing and performance runs.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Navigate training data bases and manuals.
