Job summary

The Mental Health Center of East-Central Kansas Inc is seeking an Attendant Care Worker to provide direct support to agency clients, helping them accomplish daily living activities and learn to live independently in the community. The role aims to prevent hospitalizations and enhance quality of life.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position working in community settings with evenings and weekends required; travel within the seven-county catchment area may be involved.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a therapeutic team.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs and basic computer fluency.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in achieving treatment, recovery and personal growth goals.
• Monitors medication compliance and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Observes behavioral changes and communicates with supervisory staff.
• Provides psychosocial group activities for clients as assigned.
• May transport clients as required by assignments.
• Maintains accurate client service records and submits paperwork timely.
• Participates in supervision and training meetings.
• Assists in residential facility operations including meal prep, laundry, and personal hygiene aid.
• Gathers client vital health information to assist with Med Clinic appointments.
